The Herpetological and Environmental Association of Burundi (AHEB) provides economic opportunities for the Batwa people through primary education, including a nursery class, vocational training in the areas of agriculture and artisan trades (beekeeping, pottery and woodwork) and conservation of local biodiversity and traditional cultures.
